Accessible PDFS

Accessible PDFs made with BrandStencil have ‘baked in’ accessibility features. This means you don’t need to ‘fix’ the PDF after you’ve created it for accessibility compliance.

Automated features

Programmatically added so the end user doesn’t need to do anything extra in the PDF settings to ensure accessibility compliance. For example, ensuring the PDF has the correct language set and that decorative elements are ignored by assistive technology.

Template features

Fields added to the template so the user can add the correct information to content to achieve accessibility compliance. For example the ability to add an image description (also known as an ALT tag).

Visual design features

Built into the brand styles which are applied to every template to ensure that all visual aspects meet accessibility compliance. For example, colour contrast is high enough, typeface is legible and font size meets minimum standards.
